A diasporic indigenous Chamorro artist, Gisela McDaniel’s work interweaves audio, oil paintings, and motion sensor technology to create pieces that interact with the viewer upon being triggered. Her work has been shown across the globe, including London, New York, Los Angeles, Germany, Boston, India, and more. In the U.S., she has exhibited at Jeffrey Deitch, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the Institute of Contemporary Art Miami, and the Baltimore Museum of Art.
