It seems that Maddie Ziegler, along with her sister Kenzie Ziegler and fellow cast member Nia Sioux, are noticeably absent from the upcoming Dance Moms reunion special. The special will reunite many of the original cast members, including JoJo Siwa, Chloé Lukasiak, Brooke Hyland, Paige Hyland, Kendall Vertes, and Kalani Hilliker.

In the trailer for the reunion special, there are teary-eyed reminiscences about their time on the show, discussions about the legacy of their former instructor Abby Lee Miller, and some shade thrown at the absent members for not participating in the reunion.

JoJo Siwa directly addresses the absence of some cast members, implying that it’s like erasing their past, while Kalani Hilliker appears to agree.

The special will feature group discussions and one-on-one interviews with the girls and their mothers, addressing various aspects of their time on the show, including both positive and negative experiences.

Abby Lee Miller has been a controversial figure, facing legal troubles and accusations of racism. Some former cast members express mixed feelings about forgiving her for past actions.

Maddie Ziegler had previously revealed that she and her sister cut off contact with Miller after leaving the show, citing a toxic environment. She expressed gratitude for Miller’s training but also a desire to move on.

The reunion special airs on May 1 on Lifetime, promising to delve into the complexities of the Dance Moms experience.
